The problem with them is that if someone sits backwards in the chair, someone will tip over and the chair will fall off. Does anyone know of a brand that has a wide base but a narrow area to accommodate a chair leg? They work great until someone tries to use the furniture and then they don't work.

I installed two TwinXL beds in a room with new carpeting and didn't want the 2" square posts to poke holes in the carpet so I bought them. They've worked great so far away. It distributes the weight over a larger area and does not crush the fibers of the carpet. I'm happy with them so far.

These skates were well made. However, they did not meet my requirements. They didn't work under the legs of my heavy marble-topped coffee table with narrow metal legs. I wanted to protect my oriental rug which is on the rug in my living room which has a table on it. With this configuration, the legs would slide off the rollers very easily.

When you put something heavy on the rug it's important to protect the pile - unless of course you're SURE you'll NEVER move the piece of furniture again. These are perfect for my needs. They are strong enough to hold the bed and base, and the "teeth" are deep enough for rugs. Thank you for coming for me.

They are really fat and beautiful. They hold a ton of weight *and* will pick up objects with big feet. While I've used the smaller ones for years under whatever fits in them, they tend to sag/tear over time. I didn't know until I stepped in the wrong place in the guest room, cracked the little roller under the antique reel wheel, and the edge sliced open my leg.
