Fixed P1259 CEL: Engine parts

Just finished installing this part on my Acura RSX (K20a3). Very easy and very fast if you are mechanically inclined. Corrected my P1259 code (Vtec malfunction) correctly and easily. If topping up/changing the oil doesn't solve the code I would suggest buying this replacement part. Much cheaper than driving to the shop to do the same job which takes less than 1 hour.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Happy with the product.

Continued to receive error code p2647 per the 2007 convention. I replaced the pressure sensor and switched the oil to synthetic - the error and performance remained. Thought this would be the next course of action - maybe something is clogged etc. Replaced it and the machine seems to be working fine - only 2-3 days but I suspect everything is fine. A little tricky to get the chord but certainly not a long process of change. The part appears to be on par with the Honda part and even includes aโ€ฆ

  • There are other interesting options.

P1259 Returns in less than 24 hours.

Have installed the part, which turned out to be quite easy. Engine oil was clean and topped up, new spark plugs and coil packs, some other parts were also replaced. but that particular code didn't go anywhere. The original Vtec control valve was dirty, this replacement was clean but didn't fix the code. I will have to do another test but the sensor on this one seems to be faulty. UPDATE: The sensor in this one was dead on arrival. I replaced the block with a new factory VTEC, no problems. Bring

The VTEC sensor provides the ECM with a signal that is "inverted ".

Just arrived from my technician - removed and reassembled the control valve myself which I installed in about 20 minutes. The included VTEC sensor provides an "OFF" reading to the ECM depending on the application. I installed the sensor from the old control valve and the car immediately improved and the code was removed. Cruise down the freeway at freeway speed and VTEC has you kicked! So spent the money on the coil, but the electronics aren't what the Honda PCM is looking for. This one wasโ€ฆ

Great deal and great savings. In general, the car drives better!

After 250,000 miles on our 2002 CRV this part failed and put the car in "idle" mode where the engine would not rev over 3000 rpm. Replacing the part took less than 20 minutes. Helpful Hint: Inside this thing is a filter screen that was completely clogged. My guess is that the heat build up from oil not flowing properly destroyed the seals. If you take the piece off, there's a bowl of sorts right underneath. This small bowl was filled with what I believe was an ancient seal. Use a paper towel or
