    Camera does not charge

After a few months of minimal use (only about 200 shots taken with the camera) I have not been able to charge the batteries via the AC adapter from a wall outlet or a USB port to my laptop. The charging indicator does not light up. I tried changing the batteries but the problem persists. I tried contacting Sony support and they provided minimal assistance other than a recommendation to try other batteries. This was very frustrating as I liked the quality of the camera but now I can't use it to…

    • Very good price

    • Sad packaging

I have only good things to say about this camera. I've had my Sony A6000 for just over a year and it's just perfect. I am a beginner photographer and have taken high quality, professional photos. The base lens is limited in terms of shooting capabilities, but it does an excellent job at basic landscape and people photography. I bought an extra lens for night photography and this camera is fantastic. I have attached some of my photos below. If you are an aspiring photographer looking to break…

    Total disappointment

I've been shooting professionally with Canon for 14 years and I switched to mirrorless cameras for fun. This camera was to become my hobby camera and I was very disappointed in its overall performance. The screen is useless and it's better not to move at all, not to mention that it drains the battery insanely fast. % Battery drops by min. I was fully charged, playing around with the menus and settings, and it's already down to 70%. Image quality is ok. The choice of lenses is poor and the price

Sony A6000 battery discharge secret revealed!

I love this camera. Acquired on 09/01/2015. I immediately noticed how quickly the battery drains. It even drained the battery overnight with the camera off, so I ordered 2 extra batteries and a charger. And I have a habit of taking out the battery when I'm not using the camera. I'm an engineer so I immediately started searching and experimenting on the internet on various forums to find out what drains the battery so quickly. After a long search without a solution, one day while browsing…

Cool camera that is oddly missing an important terrain feature

Received this camera today and am returning it after 15 minutes of testing. It's a cool little guy with a solid feel, good access to features, customizable buttons, large size/form factor, etc. Strangely, you can't adjust exposure and shutter lag at the same time. These are "Either/Or" functions that are oddly placed in the "Driving Mode" menu (and yes, I did some internet research to make sure I wasn't missing anything simple. This is a known bug, via which many have complained about on…

Over the moon with this little photographic monster.

Bought this camera about a year ago to get into photography. I was hesitant at first as I know how expensive good cameras can be and this was on the lower end of the price range but after seeing what it can do I am very happy with this purchase. At 24 megapixels, it's a beast. I don't use autofocus lenses for this because vintage manual focus lenses are a lot cheaper and to be honest it's a bit more fun than just pressing the shutter button and letting the camera do the work. Vintage lenses are

If you don't shoot full frame, buy this.

Great camera. An upgrade on the A7 but only for big sensor bokeh, the IQ of this camera is stunning. Sony also used a whole range of tricks with the crop sensor. In Smart+ modes, it digitally reconfigures itself in modes like "Sunset" to use special software that must have been prepared for a great many purposes, as the camera seems equipped for situations I never expected. The manual response is good, not as intuitive and comfortable as with the Lumix out of the box, but quite functional. The…

    My new everyday camera :)

For what it is - it's not a full DSLR - this camera is incredibly impressive! Lightweight, compact and practically as good as any other crop sensor camera I've ever owned, this has become my go-to camera for everyday use. Coming from the DSLR world, I almost completely gave up on this camera given its lightness. is. My background is in wildlife photography and the digital SLR camera is second to none in this area for my money and for almost any other serious photographer. But other than that…
