Easy to install. Simple and functional, it frees your fingers while you only use your thumb to get out of control. I have used Vista Cruise on my Kawasaki and Yamaha. This device will not work with a Yamaha 535 Virago sent by this seller. This is the wrong part number. I called the manufacturer and they sent me a metal clip that makes it work. I just want Vista Cruise to make one for my BMW. Very functional and safe at a great price.

Good product. works on VFR1200X with modifications.

I have used this type of throttle on various bikes for many years. This time it's a '16 Honda VFR1200X. I have already replaced the nylon throttle tube with an aluminum throttle tube from a GT Throttle Tamer and am very happy that the aluminum works great. 4 points because the "holder" is the wrong size for the throttle cable tube when it comes out, but I modified the holder on the product to fit so that it works independently.

Simple design, easy operation.

I bought it for 98 gsxr 750. It didn't fit very well "as is" - I had to cut/saw/reshape the part holding it. Finally; I cut off the curved part of the tongue and used a small push pin to attach it. I had to sand it from the inside to make it smoother. I haven't been able to set it to "lock" for a long time. It either held too tight upon release causing the throttle to drag, or it didn't lock up at all. I've found an ideal spot that keeps it running so I can rest on the freeway. Of course itโ€ฆ

Adapted to fit my Shadow Aero 750 1 " handlebar

I knew it was for the 7/8" bar when I bought it but for some reason they don't make this plain bar for 1 inch steering fro wheel. So I bought it. I used a Dremel tool to pry open an additional 1/8" piece piece by piece, like a cat eating a whetstone. The stabilizer tab that fits between the throttle cables was also in the wrong position for my JB Weld to hold it in place. I took a small piece of aluminum and made a short bracket to attach to the Vista grommet and on the opposite end I made aโ€ฆ

The best gas barrier on the market!

I have used this throttle lock on two different bikes for several years and can say it is the best cruise control for the money. Doesn't take up space on the handle as it is mounted on the gas pipe and is very easy to install. I use some zip ties to attach the brackets to the throttle cables just for extra security and better functionality. After a few thousand miles you'll need to adjust the bolt for proper lock tension, but after that it's another 10,000 miles before you need to adjust it. Iโ€ฆ

Great value, SIMPLE, works like any other

Have used two of these for over five years in the US and Canada on a 1980 Suzuki GS 850 and a 2013 Moto Guzzi Stelvio NTX. They're EASY and they DO THE JOB. All friction devices are difficult because there is a trade-off between good friction when locking the throttle and (ideally) zero friction when releasing the lock. This particular block is the simplest, most unobtrusive I've tried and WORKS WELL ENOUGH TO REST YOUR HANDS on the Autobahn. It does weaken on a rough road though - but whoโ€ฆ

Tuning is needed best in Controls

I used to have one of those 'throttle locks' on a Honda Magna and it worked pretty well as far as I can remember. I currently have a Honda 919 Hornet and the throttle lockout did not fit out of the box. The description says "For dual throttle cable" but before that it also says "Fits most 7/8 Honda motorcycles". a plastic sheath attached to the cables themselves. After all this, I had to cut off one of the tabs on the device because it didn't fit into either cable (the opening wasn't wideโ€ฆ

Ignore Revain Garage infoment

Vista Cruise is one of the most convenient and affordable throttle lockouts. A great way to free your hand from the accelerator pedal when riding a motorcycle. Pulling the lever locks the throttle in whatever position it was in, allowing you to relieve hand cramps or momentarily free your hand for something else. Very easy to install. You'll probably need to tweak it a bit first; too loose and gradually losing its grip; too tight and the gas won't come back when you let go. I suggest to haveโ€ฆ

Great for Road Driving

There comes a point in every driver's life when you tire of keeping the throttle open on long freeway journeys. We all know this and that's why cars have cruise controls. I was wondering if motorcycles don't have this option, but lately the trend has been for more expensive motorcycles to have electronic cruise control, similar to cars. However, for those of us who don't want to spend big bucks on a new toy, the Vista Cruise is a much cheaper and viable option. This is a very simple setup. Pull
