🚚 Efficient Installation Kit for Southern Truck 11029 2" Diesel Auxiliary Review

Everything was fine except the large hose clamps, they were not big enough to wrap around the hose. I had to go to the local parts store to get more.

Installed additional travel tanks on 2 of my trucks. This system works very well, but you need to know the size of the fuel filler neck. And I would recommend to take 4 clamps for the size of the fuel nozzle and the A38 hose. Clamps do not work as they should be tightened.

The product was the correct size for the fuel line but the clamps supplied were nowhere near enough to fill the fuel line hose. So I had to spend time looking for clamps. A person is better off getting a slightly higher dollar unit, I went for the super cheap one and it cost me more.

11029 for 2" ID inflation hose on Chevy. So it has a 2" T or 51mm, but you get two hose clamps with a range of 27-51mm, so a little wider than just a T So what engineer on a South Truck thinks the hoses are only 1" thick? mm? Too bad the GM filler hose is 60mm on the outside. So I'm going to buy a proper larger hose clamp now to complete this kit.

Installation kit contains all parts and description including instructions. It was also easy to install. However, the filler neck clamps were too small. In the packaging, the clamps were clamped to the inlet hose adapter and barely enough to get onto the adapter itself. I had to go to the parts store and buy 2 more clamps. Otherwise Item was a good product.

Aluminum adapter is ok. The valve is rubbish, and the most annoying part is the large clamps. The southern truck decided to play a trick on its customers and supply them with suitable clamps. It fits hoses! I would NOT order any products for Südlaster. Find a cheaper aluminum toggle valve adapter elsewhere and buy better quality poppets and ball valves locally.

As others have said, the clamps are too small and few. The parts list says 4 large clips. There are only 2 in the pack and they are too small. I read the reviews so I'm not surprised but a little disappointed. Bought by price. The parts list also contains 2 hose nozzles, which ones are they? The instructions say to put anti-seize tape on the valve, I will use teflon tape. For the ribbon, start about one strand from the end and wrap clockwise. Item arrived. it was a strange thought. I had 2 packages, both were open and one had nothing in it. The other had everything in a box that came in a vanilla envelope. The envelope was open. It came across as I looked through the doorbell cords and noticed they were open on video. I thought everything was there, so it's okay. Just wondering why there were 2 packs to begin with? When I started the installation everything seemed to be going fine until I had to use hose clamps for the 2" fill tube.
