Wow! Bought 3 knock sensors! This one from Spal finally got my fans going! Don't waste your money on other brands! Buy this sensor 1 time!

I thought as I have Spal Duel fans this would be the best but it didn't work out. I ended up buying a much cheaper one from an auto parts store that worked great.

I know it's not the seller's fault but whoever makes them is doing a terrible job. Mine goes to a generator and the longest has lasted 6 months. They usually fail within 1-3 months. Must look for an alternative after spending $100

This part is poorly designed, it works but doesn't last long, it's literally composed of melted plastic. I've uploaded an image to better understand what I mean. 👎

That's probably unfair but I'll say HATE IT because I bought it from Revain and when I had to install it (a month later you were allowed to return the product) it didn't work. That probably has less to do with the quality of the SPAL device and more to do with how it was handled before it came to me (or why Revain had it from the start). I think I should have bought it on the spot instead of trying to make a deal. :(

I had a model from a reputable cable manufacturer (RF Wiring) and spent months trying to figure out the loud relay click and fan rattle. Eventually I realized it was just a lazy transmitter (turning on and off for too long). I ordered this one, the SPAL 185-TS which is what you would use if you had a 160 degree thermostat and it has been working great for over 5 years as of November 2015.
