much cheaper than the special tool

that I bought for the buffer tube nut on my modern sport installation. I'm not sure if all of these nuts have a 4 knurl pattern, I had one. much cheaper than special tools! I was about to make my own when I saw the price tags ranging from $80 to $150.

Not for lower receiver

If you are looking to shorten the slotted nut on the lower receiver, this item is for you. The burrs are all over the castle nut now and I wish I had never lost my MagPul pistol tool. This tool may work for other applications but not for my intended purpose. Can't give 1 star for this reason.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • High price

Great wrench, suitable for power tools and hand tools

Great tool, Onky AI thought it ☑ Hardened ☑ Made in the USA 🇺🇸☑ Cheap! ☑ Has a 3/8 square hole for tightening and loosening. engagement of the teeth. And it's not a wrench, it has a purpose and does it well. Yes you can damage the threads as other reviews have said but if you mess up a wrench this will happen.

  • Great for a small house

Requires adjustable wrench

I only needed one tool to tighten the castle nut on my AR. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on some of the others that cost over $50 on the market. The tool teeth are not in contact with the threads of the duct. So that concern is pushed aside. The quality seems reliable and I expect it to last for years. I chose this tool because of the price. I regret nothing. I can absolutely recommend this product.

  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Requires socket wrench

Will not damage threads or castellated nut

Not sure what other reviews that mention damage to threads or castellated nut are talking about. I put on some mechanical gloves and slowly adjusted the wrench to find the best grip. I had a good grip, my castellated nut was tightened to my satisfaction within minutes with no slipping or damage to the threads or castellated nut. I've seen how someone can slip and damage or scratch their buffer tube or threads if they're hasty, careless or careless. However, I had no problems. Take your time…

Teeth flex with too much force but good customer service

So as the name suggests the teeth flexed when I used it on my m16 but I don't think the teeth flex on other things. From what I've heard, M16 castle nuts are usually very tight. So don't expect this to work on your m16 if that's what you bought it for. I must add that the company refunded my money immediately with no questions asked. That's why I don't even get mad. Not what I expected when I bought something so cheap. I kind of knew that was going to happen. Either way, if you don't need to…

Does the job but be careful with the torque wrench

I used this to loosen and tighten the castle nut to replace the end plate. Relaxing the hand was easy. I used my torque wrench with a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter to tighten the castle nut to the correct torque. I could understand why people pull the nut off when using a torque wrench because you need to hold the wrench properly. switched on, hold the wrench and torque wrench in parallel planes and apply force to the torque wrench in parallel. I did this slowly, gradually increasing from 10 ft-lbs. The
