Fits 1999 Subaru Forester

Fits my 1999 Subaru Forester. Was in good shape. Complete with hoses and valve. Had to cut the hose mount off for my use case. Cutting the bracket made it easier to connect the hoses and then install the stuffing tube.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Only available in white

Received quickly in perfect condition. Fits perfectly.

You must remove the wheel and personally inspect and photograph or carefully note the configuration of the part being replaced. Too many replacement parts are listed online as direct replacements IF THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE. This neck fits my base 2001 Subaru Forester. But the first neck I ordered online, from Dorman, didn't fit. Then I had to suffer with returning and ordering. Heed my advice, be particularly careful in advance, save time and nerves. Now the machine is repaired, CEL is off.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great fit, you need to get an expensive valve from Subaru

My gas cap has rusted through because the plastic protector keeps dirt/salt and everything off the road. The fit was spot on, the Denso alternative for my car didn't have a pressure relief valve mount (which was $270 from Subaru); I patched my old valve with silicone and rubber so far so good. I will say, and even from a Subaru dealership, remove the plastic protector and leave it on, at least you can spray away the collected dirt from the filler neck when washing the car. The original filler…

2002 Subaru Forester

As shown in the first picture, the 2002 Subaru Forester factory filler neck is made up of two separate sections of metal tubing bolted together. This aftermarket filler neck (Spectra) cannot be split into two pieces making it impossible to install the filler neck into the wheel well and all holes without bending or breaking it. I quickly realized that assembly would be possible if I separated the two sections of metal tubing. As shown in the pictures below, I first cut the metal flange in half,

Doesn't quite match fuel tanks and accessories

When I buy parts I look up the part number for my car on various sites to make sure I'm buying the right part. It was a part number that could be found in several places so I ordered. After removing the old filler neck and comparing the two parts, I noticed that this part has two breather tubes that are welded to the bracket. The OEM has a separate mount for these tubes. This is of great importance as the breather tubes need to be routed through the frame to connect to the rubber hoses coming…

  • Easy to install

  • Almost never

Fits 1998 Subaru Forester (with some modifications)

Let me start by saying that this product is worth the money when you need it. It comes with a check valve (which surprised me) and silicone tubing connecting the valve to the evaporator tubing. On 98 specific fuzz details to help people. Neck. This will make installation much easier. I also removed the evaporator lines from the hoses to make them easier to install, but you don't have to. Begin by removing the bolt that attaches the neck to the chassis and holds the evaporator lines (behind the…
