    Nice construction from the original hot air filter

    This is a good fit for vintage or real. The air cleaner is smaller and there is a slightly rounded slot that draws in hot air from the bottom of the filter. So why suck in hot air when you're trying to suck in cold air? So I got hot air temperature silicone glue. and seals the canister from the bottom, it also seals the air filter element inside, but I guess you don't replace it too often.     Poor build quality requires innovation to function effectively.

    The main chrome twin body was not round and required careful handling to round it back. After getting it back into shape, I checked the filter installation and lowering the base into the main body. To my dislike, I found that the flip base doesn't fit snugly to the main body. This lets tons of hot air out of the engine bay and wipes out the snorkels, especially if you plan on using it as a quasi-ram air setup. some Home Depot self-adhesive gaskets to store the filter, attach it to the lower…

    not as much as I liked because the bottom of the air filter was a different size.

    is not the same as I wanted because of the air filter, the lower part is different from the upper one. It has a bottom from another air cleaner kit. The top is poorly welded to a pipe, and its opening is 1/2 inch larger than the base of the lower filter holder. It doesn't seal, so air enters through that gap just above the intake port. I need to make a gasket, use an old cleaner floor and try different filters to see what works. More like the beginning of a process, but not at all what it looks

    Good for my needs

    * Five stars because it fits my needs exactly and you get a lot for your money. My engine (383 stroker sbc) needed cold air. The current air cleaner pulled too much hot air out of the engine bay and the engine knocked horribly when accelerating on a hot day.* I had to drill 4" vent holes (see location). One in the radiator support and one in the inner wheelhouse on the passenger side. There was no room for the second in the supporting wall of the radiator. BTW: I used a 4" hole saw and it…
