Spicer 36487 Improved Axle Shaft Seal Review

Will not fit Dana 50 or 60 2001. I made the mistake of ordering them weeks before disassembling my axle. Now it's too late to go back.

I wish I could say this is a good product but I can't. If you do not have an installation tool for such a gasket. I failed and managed to pull one out of the metal bracket without much damage, but the other was bent. If you need a regular fill, you can just place it with an outlet and look elsewhere. Now I need to buy 2 more regular gaskets to complete my Dana 60 front.

what else do you need for a seal? I am definitely happy with this product. Do you have Dana 60 stock or aftermarket? Get real Dana Spicer seals. Not someone else's brand. I had the wrong brand installed and it went on for several months before the front axle started blowing fluid again and my jeep didn't drive much as it's a weekend warrior. Corresponded to the description, the installation was not difficult, the order came as described. The seal was better than what came from the factory. The tapered shape makes it easy to reinstall the 35 spline axle shafts and doesn't force them out. We put a Teraflex CRD60 on the axle with 35 spline lock shafts and use Aimsoil gear oil. Installation tips, use the gasket. Tool not to damage the rubber seal or spring to ensure a tight fit.
