Perfect for training

Perfect for my German Shepherd. I had to remove 2 links, but I can say that this is the best option for studying. I bought all kinds of tension free straps that didn't work. This is the way to learn.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

May this product be blessed.

I've had trouble with my 76 lb pit mix and have always been skeptical of the spiked collar because of what it looks like. Received today and after one use my dog is holding the leash better. The collar itself is very strong. It's a bit difficult to turn on and off but that's to be expected depending on how you want it to work, but once you get used to it it's an amazing product.

Shoulder Saved My Sisters

Getting older isn't always fun, especially when we have big dogs. My sister complained about her dogs and how difficult it was to get them out because they were both pulling on her shoulder to the point of pain. I ordered two collars and sent her. She called me as soon as she could and told me how amazing they are and that their dogs don't pull their shoulders; she was so happy and it made me happy.

Pros
  • Stylish and Modern Design
Cons
  • Boring Packaging

Simply brilliant good for collars

My 2 year old GSP was a real manipulator. I'm not joking that notched collar ended its tension in less than 2 minutes. Adjusted for the best fit high on the neck as per the YouTube videos of the sneakers I watched. A few light puffs and I get my lungs and it's a different dog that just goes into the field for treatment and doesn't sniff the ground. I'll throw the training collar in the drawer. I was very skeptical and now I fully believe it. Watch a few YouTube videos on how to properly use a…

Beautiful, effective collar

The Herm Sprenger collar transformed our English Cocker Spaniel on walks. I watched a few videos on how to properly adjust the collar and now it's going great instead of pulling, snapping and choking on a standard collar or even a harness. Once on the spot he doesn't check it so there are no complaints. It's a little tricky to put on when you open one of the links and tighten it, and it needs to be snug (but not tight) to stay in place. This collar appears to be genuine. It is well made with…

The Best After Sliced Bread - AMAZING

Just received this collar yesterday and used it straight away on my 7 month old 85 lb AB which is a big puller. I was wary of spiked collars at first but needed something to control our walks as every lead I tried didn't work. First I trained with him in the backyard. Just a few laps so he gets used to the new collar and I learn how to use it. INSTANT RESULTS. He tried me in the backyard once and didn't try to pull again. We walked around the neighborhood a bit and he stayed next to me and…

Authentic Herm Sprenger Collar

I bought a collar for my Rhodesian Ridgeback who loves squirrels, chipmunks and all other small animals. My goal is to leave if they don't pull me if she smells and I don't see the creature. Only two links had to be removed to fit properly - neither tight nor smothering them as part of the fit. Pulling up should only be done with a quick flick of the wrist as a pull correction. If you tend to yell at your dog in anger, I don't recommend it, as the possibility of a violent tug as a "correction"…

Aids in pulling/laying IF YOU USE IT CORRECTLY

The Herm Springer Spiked Collar was recommended to me by a canine behaviorist for my foster dog who is very reactive on walks but has been fully booked for months. She recommended watching lots of YouTube videos (some recommended below) to make sure you find the right fit and use. It looks vicious and evil, but if installed and used properly, it will not harm your dog. Most of the horror stories you hear about spiked collars come from people who wear them all the time (they should only be used…
