Made in the USA on Chains

This is a standard 8 speed bicycle chain. SRAM chains are as durable as other brands of bike chains, plus they're made in the USA, which is an added bonus.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Protection

Perfect match for Shimano

Fits perfectly on my 1990's Shimano crank/sprocket/derailleur. I was concerned parts would be hard to come by but this was the perfect solution with an easy install.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expensive

SRAM Reliable - Parts & Components

I've been using SRAM chains for years and when my daughter's bike chain needed replacing no investigation was needed. I adjusted the chain, removed the extra links and added a quick link. Fast and easy repair.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some issues

High quality basic bike chain

I have had this chain on my bike for about 3 months now. That's everything a bike chain should be. If you buy this online you can probably install it without any problems. If you're really concerned about fitting a bike chain, just take it to a bike shop.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No performance

Easy to install Best in Sports

I bought this to replace a worn chain on an old 3x6 mountain bike. It was a few links too long, but that's easily fixed with a chain breaker. The quick connection for the chain link was amazing; First time I used one of them. Shifts well. I haven't used it long enough to comment on its durability.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • No

Quick couplers are great

I had to change the chain on my bike for the first time. I ride about 10km a day 5 days a week. The chain has held up very well so far and was extremely easy to install. Now that I've discovered how good fast connections are, I'll never have a normal chain again. (This chain has a fast connection).

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Contemporary

No packaging, no SRAM PowerLink connector.

Two "New SRAM PC-830, 8 Speed, 1/2" x 3/32", 7.1mm, 114 links with SRAM PowerLink connector included." was what i ordered. Each of the two necklaces was sent in a separate plastic bag. There was no other package. None of the shifters came with a SRAM PowerLink connector. Chains are useless without connectors.

Pros
  • Lots of fun

Easy installation if you watch the video.

the chain I received broke through the packaging and there were no real instructions. But a quick search on Tube for "main link chain" did the trick. You'll need a chain tool to shorten the chain for your bike, but you don't actually need any tools to assemble it. With the pins installed correctly in the master link, you can rotate the chain so the link is up, hold the rear brake, and pedal. It will make sense when you look at it. To remove these, however, you need a master tool or very narrow…

SRAM chains are inexpensive

I ride 10,000-15,000 miles a year so I have to change the chain about 3 times a year. I used to pay my local bike shop for this because I usually keep half the main link under the fridge. Now that I have a Parks master tool, I started buying SRAM chains and replacing them myself. This one rode my Brompton folding bike and went like clockwork in about 10 minutes. I prefer a main link over a pin. If you have the right tool, it's much easier and more reliable. I only needed 102 links so I…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not automatic
