Description of AS1 Pro Lace Up Ankle Brace: Ankle Stabilizer for Volleyball, Rugby, Basketball. Supports Sprain Protection with Laces, compatible with Compression Socks or Sleeves. Available in Multiple Sizes.

Lace up ankle brace with pro fit design removes excess material at the forefoot and has a wider and more comfortable heel hole to reduce rubbing and irritation. Speed lacing eyelets improve ease of application and reduce hot spots on the body of the brace, and laces are reinforced to prevent fraying and breaking. Non slip silicone printing on sole keeps straps in place for sports like Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Tennis and Cheerleading. Figure 8 and circumferential straps helps stabilize the brace, preventing unwanted slippage and providing the secure and comfortable fit preferred by many athletes who prefer ankle tape jobs with athletic tape. Non-stretch vertical straps are fully adjustable and imitate the effects of the basket weave and heel lock technique used in traditional methods of taping an ankle by athletic trainers.

Support I needed after injury

I broke my lower leg about a year ago and needed a little more support while I was training. That's enough to play volleyball and racquetball without cutting off blood flow. I have a wide men's shoe in size 9.5 and bought a small one. It's snug but not tight and I think it will stretch over time.

Pros
  • Highest score for support and longevity from testers
Cons
  • A lot

Great ankle bandage! on ankle brace

Very good ankle brace. Fits well and snugly and feels very well protected. Offers more movement than the McDavid brace I own. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because of the crossed straps. They are made of a material that loosens up a bit and doesn't stay in place when you buckle it. Overall, I highly recommend these ankle braces. This is the best I've used in 15 years of wearing braces.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Requires base

Great for preventing twisted ankles

I sprained my ankle badly and felt my tendons burst and buckle. Ever since this happened on April 1st my ankle has been healing and still feels limp. I wanted something that would prevent it from rolling away when I was working in the yard or anywhere on not-so-level ground. Place this baby and try to mimic the twist of my ankle and it doesn't move in that direction at all. There is no compression, however, so I wear it over the sleeve I have. But for the purpose I bought it for, it's great!

Active Ankel AS1 Pro Lace - Ankle Bandage

Bought to recover from a broken ankle, not for personal use. Pros: Decent design and materials at a reasonable price. Can help a little with sports. High anterior mobility and moderate lateral mobility - when mobility is an issue Cons: Open Heel - Opening at top cuts into Achilles tendon and creates a "bony" heel. Too much mobility, not enough stiffness for ankle/high foot injuries or rehabilitation. Should cover a large stroke length. A bit bulky for some shoes. Support rather than "bracket"…

I play my best

I have a legitimate ankle fracture, multiple ligament and tendon tears, two small tears. I bought this brace to buy myself time and delay an operation as long as possible while trying to get on with my life as a father, coach and player as much as possible. I wear size 9 shoes and bought medium braces. It works great if it's just a little big. It's not loose at all, rather I lace it up completely and wrap it up completely with no extra room. I tested the orthosis at full speed (at least for…

  • Good product for the price

Keeps my ankles right!

This is a very good and flexible support. It has 3 straps and is the perfect ankle protector in my opinion. First, I've had my fair share of ankle supports, and the ones you tie like shoes aren't the ones you need to get. They tend to loosen like shoes if you keep walking and therefore give you the chance to re-injure yourself. So it's best to get one that has laces and straps so you get extra protection and also don't come loose. This type of protector also feels good when you put it on, which

I don't know how it works, just like that.

I was skeptical but the reviews were mostly positive. I have to admit that this "brace" is pretty awesome and worth every penny - compared to buying new shoes or something like that. I've had ankle/flexor pain since I first started exercising at Orange Theory Fitness Center when I was on the treadmill. I decided the problem was in the ankle brace and researched shoes, braces, and other items that would relieve the pain of running on the treadmill. I was looking at "support socks" but came…

MedSpec ASO Better or Active Ankle T2

I bought this and MedSpec Aso and while both are good, MedSpec Aso is much better. It has much better grip and grips your leg tights. It just seems better built overall. I have to give Active Ankle credit for being a little more comfortable, but that's probably because it doesn't compress as much. I ordered this one to wear in my shoes. But the MedSpec Aso fits the shoe just as well as this one, so I guess I'll be bringing back the Active Ankle. I've heard a lot of good things about their other

Poor quality of materials, poor fit, doesn't offer much support.

I've been wearing this brace for a few months now. I wanted to make sure I know how well it works before considering it. I bought it after an ankle sprain. Delivery was delayed due to the pandemic, which is perfectly normal, but it meant I had to find one locally to use while waiting for this brace to arrive. That gave me a good comparison. I wear a size 11.5 (US) which is not shown in the size chart here on Revain. The listing didn't say if the sizes were small or large and I really needed…
