Cutting Made Easy with These Industrial Drill Bits

Based on our own experience, we highly recommend these cutting tools for stained glass art projects. The industrial grade quality of the drill bits made the job of cutting through the thick glass much easier and more precise. The diamond grinder tools were also effective at smoothing the edges of the glass without chipping or cracking. The only downside was the higher price point compared to other options in the market, but the quality more than makes up for it. Overall, a great investment for…

Pros
  • Industrial and scientific quality, precise cutting and smooth edges.
Cons
  • Higher price point than other options.

The drill does not go deep enough into the shank.

The drill doesn't go deep enough into the rod so I can grind glass by placing it on the Glastar Grinder platform. For larger pieces that aren't strong enough to safely grind glass, I have to use a glass holding tool.

Pros
  • Drill
Cons
  • unreliable

Know these two things

Two key things that I think will help: 1 - Each different size wheel comes with its own allen key. You have to use the correct Allen key for each one - so don't lose one thinking you can always use one of the others. Placing it in a new position on the rack allows you to increase the life of each wheel as the diamond coating wears out over time. Because stained glass is only about 3mm thick, you should have a few "cycles" of grinding wheels before they need to be replaced.

Pros
  • Power tools and Hand tools
Cons
  • Unsure
