Can you really test a bolt? You can if you want people to know that bolt is salt resistant. on my ocean deck boat Expandacraft 8' x16'.

I have purchased a few items from Chenango Supply and am more than happy with their range and great service. Now when I stop encountering new problems and start building I will be using these bolts, nylon nuts and washers. (Although my bolt containers look fine when full!)

The product works as expected and the quality seems satisfactory for the required application. HOWEVER I ordered two boxes of 25 each (50 total) and both boxes (which were marked 25) contained 23 in shrink wrap and the boxes were sealed so nothing was lost in transit. Just be careful when buying the exact amount you need. Revain was great when I called to take care of this, but when pressed for time it can be a big problem.

These are good strong screws that I use to secure the canopy over my front door and front patio. High winds are common where I live and I need strong bolts to prevent damage to the rather expensive canopy from wind loads and shear forces. After inspection and installation, I'm confident these bolts will do the job well (Note: I added a front flat washer and rear lock washer for extra strength). I would buy them again.

These screws are made of 304 "stainless steel". I didn't know the difference before, but now I do. 316 contains molybdenum, "which significantly improves corrosion resistance, especially in high salt or high chloride environments." What you see will not be as shiny as the photo (they won't look like the stainless steel you're used to ). 304 is not suitable for my use, ie building next to the beach. The ones you want are (probably) just over twice the size.
