Love this trunk rack

If I could send you a picture of my portable golf cart hooked to this rack I would I get so many looks and most of my Miata friends have purchased one for their car.Way to go Surco keep it up.

Well built rack for someone else's car

Firstly, this item was shipped very quickly and on time.This item was packed well, and had very easy to follow assembly instructions.However, after returning the first rack for not fitting my car, I had to also return the second for the same reason.

Nice Rack!: my feedback

Easy to install, solid, and looks great. I may not take it off. I agree with other reivews that it could be a bit lower, but that's a quibble. I'm very pleased and have had many compliments.

Fantastic purchase to expand cargo space; attaches easily/securely and surprising retro-cool appearance

I love this thing; I wish I'd bought one back in 2008 when I first got my car. It fits beautifully on my 2008 MX-5 hard top. It's easy to attach and remove; I've taken it on and off several times. As long as the exterior surface of the trunk is clean, it shouldn't leave a mark. (I'd predict -- though haven't yet had this problem -- that if there were grit on the car surface, the grit might cause faint scratches to the paint underneath the rubber feet). Visually, the luggage deck looks great…

DOUBLE CHECK CAR YEAR BEFORE ORDERING.

Product listed as fitting a 1990-2005 [NA/NB] Miata AND has a photo of it installed in a 1999-2005 model [NB] but it is designed and sized to fit 2006-2015 models [NC]Otherwise appears to be well constructed piece of hardware.

Great rack, good quality.

The quality of the rack seems good, the directions are clear and simple. Tolerences are important, so if your trunk lid isn't even you may have issues with the side clamps rubbing against the painted edge of the fender. I do wish they got rid of the raised rear bar as it makes it difficult to put something oversized on the rack.

Highly recommended, very useful

Used to carry extra luggage (40-50lbs) on a 2500mile road trip to Colorado and back. Very easy to install, the only tool needed was a large phillips screwdriver, they included the necessary allen wrench. Make sure you clean the surface of the trunk under the rack feet before installation to prevent any scuffing during use.Upon removal I found no damage to the trunk lid even after accidentally letting the trunk slam shut with the full weight of my luggage. There was minor paint scuffing on the…

Perfect for us: my feedback

Our Miata makes traveling a challenge, hardly any room for a bag, especially if you want to be able to put the top down. This is perfect. Easy to install and remove. Using with a big waterproof duffel bag, road trips are easy now.
