🔩 Complete Stainless Steel Rivet Nuts Kit: #8-32 to 3/8"-16 Threaded Insert Nutsert Rivnuts Review

My 40 year old tractor didn't have working work lights and I couldn't get hold of brackets to replace the old rusty ones. I have decided to replace my work lights with light bars. First I drilled 6 holes next to the cutout where the old headlights were. Then I installed six of these nuts into the holes. I then bolted the 1/4" panels together with screws threaded into the rivet nuts. I then bolted the light bars onto the 1/4" panels. Everything works great.

8-32 nuts were .2595" in diameter (actually larger in diameter than 10-24 nuts). They should be 0.2295 inches in diameter. It looks like the supplier didn't have 8-32 blanks or enough in stock and they just tapped an 8-32 thread into a 10-24 threaded blank. As a result, they are too thick in the thread area and very difficult to assemble. The other sizes were correct and should work as expected. I have returned the item.

Bottle holder finally installed on an old bicycle. Contrary to some reviews, I managed to do it without special tools. I used the nut and bolt trick. You might want to have a few extra M5 screws as they can snap off if you over tighten. I should have tried that a long time ago. The only stumbling block for me was finding the right drill bit size. I chose these stainless steel rivets for aggressive environments. I have used them to secure windows that carried significant window weight. After a relatively easy installation they looked good, installed well, were strong and provided a solid grip for the coilers. It should be noted that in order to do your job properly and protect your mandrels, you must understand how to set the compression ratio on your particular adjustment tool.

I liked the tool and the rivet nuts but I was very disappointed that it didn't come with a carrying case, it has many parts even without all the rivet nuts and the box it comes in packed full of parts and parts, and the second or third time you use it the box gets so shabby that it becomes unusable, they don't provide a case for it and I've tried to buy a ffg tote bag or them but no one has or sells such a bag big.
