This worked great on my Buick LaSabre, if in doubt check how you clamp from underneath and mate the little pins on the lock chamber.

Product works but doesn't fit my 1977 Camaro. It's not long enough and doesn't have a proper lock. That's right, its strong part is held on by 2 7/16 bolts.

Cylinder with release shaft slot misaligned. They were deflected 90 degrees. The only way to get it to work was to twist/flex the release shaft. I don't trust it. I'm assuming the trigger shaft will break. The old barrel lock did not have a curved release bar.

This lock works great but if you want original quality at the same price go for AC delco. I used this on a muscle car and the frame is not flat like the original and is not crimped 360 degrees around the cylinder. It only has 4 small protrusions, so it can be mounted askew. Had trouble finding the correct alignment lock for my '68 Camaro and this lock fits perfectly, it just had a sub par bezel.

In the end it works great and should last for years BUT. In order for the lock cylinder to fit into the grooves in the trunk lid, it must be turned 90 degrees counterclockwise. The lock cylinder clip also works as intended and sits securely. This requires the bar to be modified with two pliers to make the necessary bends. It only takes a few minutes and is very easy. I gave 3 stars because of the modification and the lock cylinder is rotated 90 degrees. It works at 5-star level.
