Good replacement cap

I bought this hoping it would fix my car's exhaust leak. While this didn't fix the problem, it works fine with no issues when just replacing the lid.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Something different

Check engine light still on

It screws in but doesn't quite fit. Chevy Impala LTZ Flex Fuel. What am I doing wrong? Order another one from another seller to see if it's a lid.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Nothing here

Not the best seal among replacement parts

There's no saving on that. Lid. went to the dealer and spent more money but obviously some things you just can't dime and dime

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Better than the junk I bought at Walmart

I bought another cap for my Yukon at Walmart. It didn't fit and I lost a lot of fuel to evaporation. It's cheaper than the junk I bought at Wal-Mart AND FITS! very happy camper here.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Secret

Be careful what type of gas cap you really need

Very well made gas cap but I made the mistake of buying the wrong one when I bought this one I needed a threaded type. Revane was great on his return. It was my fault and they had no problem getting me to return it. Thank you Rewan.

Pros
  • Cool product

Do not recommend buying this cap

Bought this cap in October 2014, less than 5 months later the service came back on and told me to tighten the gas cap. And when checked it was definitely loose (yes I twisted it until it clicked) and even checked to make sure it was tight. The pattern (white part) of the OEM is also different and is not made in the USA judging by the "Made in Mexico" sticker on the side. So I had to go and buy another one. I do not recommend buying this cap!

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Everything is fine

First things first. Before attempting to replace the tether, try the cap on your car to ensure it is properly seated. It was a great match for my 2008 Silverado 1500 with flex fuel. To reuse the factory cap lanyard, I simply pry up the black plastic retainer (the thicker, slotted part) just below the lanyard ring to disassemble the old cap and release the lanyard itself. This is not a problem for me as I have previously tested the new cap to ensure it fits as stated above. Then on the new cap I

Pros
  • Hands-free

  • Compatibility
