I used this KVM switch normally for about a year, then my monitor started having weird problems. I bought a dual DVI monitor, dual PC version, to share the monitor between my home computer (Windows 7) and my work laptop (Windows X). I don't use the audio toggle feature or the mouse ports. Good smooth shifting. It's easy to set up, although there really aren't any instructions other than what you can get online, which can be tricky if your monitors aren't connected. Note that if you are using a shared USB bus (mouse, kb) you MUST connect USB cables (rounded) to your devices, otherwise this bus will not activate. the buttons are pretty weird (mixed yellow and red) and my monitors change the switch position every now and then. I haven't figured it out yet, but it happens.

The last thing you want to do with this switch after it's working is change something in the system. I mean, you don't want to switch monitors and you don't want to turn off any of the computers. This KVM is incorrectly reporting keyboard make and model to connected computers. If you are using a standard/universal USB keyboard then this might be fine. Or you can't. I used this with an Apple aluminum keyboard; However, KVM reports it as a "Chensen Electronics Corp." keyboard, causing numerous keys to not display properly.
