This adapter worked well with my Asus Maximus VIII Ranger motherboard - I use it to drive a DVI over DisplayPort monitor. No drivers are required as this is a passive adapter - I just plugged it in and it worked the first time. Now after using it for a few weeks I forgot it was even there. So as long as your device works with a passive adapter, this is a good buy for the price.

I bought this to change from my Geforce 1600 to my monitor. The DVI connector on the card was different than on the monitor. It works great but be aware that if you have this adapter you will need a DVI to DVI conversion cable. I thought my cable would fit but didn't think the cable I had was a standard cable and it was DVI. So I had to buy another cable. Spirit.

I couldn't find the adapter I needed at any local store other than the incredibly overpriced "Monster Cable" adapter. It worked great and at a great price. First time sent broken. I reported this and got a replacement very quickly. The return was completely painless. I just had to put it in a little box. UPS came the next day with the label removed. The second worked great, just plug it in. Although the first one didn't work, I was so impressed with the response and resupply that I had to give this one 5 stars.

I bought this for my Lenovo laptop. That works fine. However, this is a passive adapter. This means that no more connection is added to the monitor from the laptop. This works great for me because I wanted to use two large monitors. I have VGA and DisplayPort output and I don't want to spend $100 on a docking station. I can use both, but the laptop LCD had to be disabled, which is fine with me as I don't need the laptop's small built-in LCD.

I bought this adapter to replace another one I bought locally. Unfortunately the local purchase was an all in one adapter and didn't include a small piece of cable on that end and after a couple of weeks of using and moving my laptop it broke leading me to specifically look for an adapter to come with looking for a small cable to give me the flexibility.
