Decent price: starter and parts

Okay, it was a tedious starter replacement but once installed on my son's 2006 Honda CRV it started with no problems. I don't know how long it lasts, but it works as it should and I'm more than satisfied πŸ‘

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Works as intended for starters

My CRV's starter has started to work. This replacement starter fits well and works well. If you've ever thought about replacing the starter motor on your 2nd generation CRV, do it from above. Getting up from the bottom is a nightmare compared to removing the intake manifold from the top.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Some difficulties

failed after 3 days, about 12 starts.

2005 CR-V Starter operation, hard to reach and remove starter. I had a mechanic do this because I was preparing to drive out of town. 2.5 hours of work? Anyway, I'm stuck 70 miles from home. It worked on launch, launched instantly with no lag and now it's just a click and not a single rollover attempt. Possibly bad bristles.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Didn't last more than a month.

Worked great for a month then failed. Looked good from the start, was very disappointed when it didn't work, luckily I was standing in the driveway and didn't have to be towed. I'm a Honda certified technician and it wasn't bad to have it replaced, but if the shop had to replace that, plus the towing bill, you'd be missing out on a few hundred bucks. I recommend dropping that starter and getting one from Napa, all my 2 cents.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Slightly torn

So far so good.: Starters and parts

I bought a $250 Napa starter and it was a rebuild. Because of the price, I decided to take a chance and bought it and returned it to Napa. Build quality is good, configuration is top-notch, and it has plenty of launch, speed, and torque capabilities. I've started my car about 50 times and I'm still happy with it. I rated the ease of assembly as low, since it has nothing to do with the starter, but rather with the function of the car in which it comes. Otherwise it fit well, flat and the…
