Like other reviewers I am very happy with this replacement key shell. Doesn't really look like the original key but good enough for my 10 year old Honda, certainly better than spending hundreds at the dealer. A few key points 1) I need to use the exit knife to trim the corners of the main cavity in order to properly install the remote module (the 3 button thing). Otherwise, if you force it in, the buttons will rub against the holes and the buttons will get stuck. 2) Don't forget to also…

Works perfectly! No need to change the key, forget the dealer!

If I could give this thing six stars I would. The keys to my 2009 CR-V and 2010 Accord fell apart with duct tape, and I wasn't planning on spending over $150. recode at dealer. Sound familiar? This is the product for you. No need to change, forget the dealer! The exchange lasted only five minutes. It couldn't be easier. This new case is strong and well made and holds the key part very well. A few things to look out for when purchasing this product: * Some key models (looks older, pre 2009 at…

The sturdy key case can outlive your car

This product is rock solid. Cosmetically, I've seen a better plastic finish, but that's a minor issue. The main feature of the design is durability. The key body is slightly larger than the standard version, but built to withstand heavy use. I have a 2011 Honda Civic. Both keys are in aftermarket plastic cases as the Honda key cases that came with the car broke as per the photos in the description. Recently one of the aftermarket keys broke right in the small screw hole. Honda cars are…

Updated Review - TBD

Updated August 2020: I tried a different replacement key fob than this one and encountered the same problem as my original review: the car would tip over but I wouldn't start and the green key icon was flashing on my dashboard. Upon further reflection, I thought that the part I thought was an RFID chip might not actually be one, but was instead a plastic cover that might have an RFID chip underneath that I might have to dig up. Sure enough, I did some digging and the RFID chip fell out and…
