Brad point is not centered. The hole is too big.

This round tip drill is broken. The shank tip is not centered on the bit resulting in a hole that is .02" larger than the 11/32. I spent a lot of time sanding the point to try to re-center it. It still drills 0.005 more than the spec says, but that's probably as close as I can hand grind it. Normally my nails are very close to the diameter of the bit. This should not be listed as a recommended product. Very poor quality control.

Drill sizes are misleading

The drill was delivered on time and placed in the right place (Amazon). Looks good. My problem was that I was looking for a 15/32" diameter wood drill bit with a drilling capacity of about 7". "Length measurements in the description. My fault. The drill is a regular 5 1/2" 15/32" drill. Similar to the same drill I already have. Will I keep it as a spare? Will I return it? ?I was annoyed that the description was misleading albeit late at night after a glass or two of wine Live and learn I'm sure

I have no way of verifying this, but it seems to me that this may be the lowest "industrial" high speed steel as M50. They're not very well made, of course, and three of the four bits have all sorts of holes and surface imperfections. I got it (after all, it doesn't matter, but it's a reference to reality and marketing). One of the bits is much better ground and finished than the…
