Very nice kit! Inexpensive and FUN!

Just finished all the kits that were inside and they are fun! I'm gonna demo this on our show in Lincoln, NE called MakeLincoln this Saturday, 9-21-2019! Kids and adults alike are gonna love them!

Pros
  • Loved how much my kids loved it! They worked together to put it together.
Cons
  • The project may not be as engaging as other at-home science experiments.

Phenomenal stem kit.

Phenomenal gift. My son is in a GT school. Brilliant 7 year old and this kit is awesome. I also half expected enough pieces for 5 kits total but not at the same time. It was separate kits for each

Pros
  • Great gift
Cons
  • The kit may not come with enough variety in materials or colors.

Worthwhile. good for me

My kid loves these. I would give a higher review if they were a little easier. The screwdriver that came with it was not exactly a Phillip’s head. It looked like it had been cut off halfway through the head. It wouldn’t work at all. I didn’t really care about that. Some of the screws aren’t quite long enough so it is frustrating for a kid. Otherwise, really great. This is the second of these kits we’ve purchased and would purchase them again. Like I said, my son absolutely loves these, and…

Pros
  • Comes with extra pieces for customization and experimentation
Cons
  • The kit may not include enough information on the science behind the motor or car.

Incorrect parts - my new review

On "Part 4", the hole is either too small for screw to fit or requires a smaller screw. Now I'm forced to drill out the hole to make it work. Disappointing on a $30+ kit.

Pros
  • Set came as advertised with tools. Kid's seem to like the projects. Good learning tool.
Cons
  • The set may take up too much space when not in use.

Great for kids who want to build on their own

While this came with several pre-canned activities, my son really just wanted some of the motors and parts to build his own ideas. This worked perfectly for that. You will need to teach your kids a little bit about electricity first, hahaha, he melted down one of the battery packs on accident. :)

Pros
  • Learning & Education
Cons
  • The construction process may not be intuitive for all kids.

Parts are way too small

Almost all parts are way too small for a child to assemble or even participate in assembly. I'm adult and have a hard time putting together those tiny screws and all. So it ended up with me assembling everything while my child just watched and got bored because it took a while again due to very small parts. Good idea, poor execution.Had to add since i was just trying to assemble the last part which is the bubble machine. The product states to contact them for any issues but they didn't put…

Pros
  • Encourages creativity and imagination
Cons
  • The set may not come with enough options for customization or personalization.

4th grade project HIT!

My 4th grader had to do a project with a motor, switch and double A batteries. We did the Bubble Machine. We did the assembly together. Had so much fun putting it together. Tested it out at home first my daughters face lit up when it started and worked. Super hit in class when she took it to school. She even went to other classes and presented the machine. Of course teacher was not happy because she claims we shouldn’t have had to buy anything. Either way my daughter feels she built something…

Pros
  • Fun activity to do with my son
Cons
  • The included materials may be sourced from non-sustainable or unethical sources.

Not a good material

Good idea but the material is very cheap and the scres are not easy to assemble and my child got hurt twice. Quality need to be improved.

Pros
  • Provides a fun way to bond with friends and family over a shared activity
Cons
  • The product may not offer enough value or benefits for the price

Love IT! best in my review

I purchased this STEM kit for my niece as a Christmas gift. She was super excited and proud of herself for assembling something. The manual and components are very simple to utlize. 10/10 would recommend.

Pros
  • So worth it! My kids wanted more kits like this.
Cons
  • The set may be too specific and limit the creativity of kids.

Not sturdy. good for me

The kit is a great idea, but the instructions and small screws make it a little difficult to assemble for an 8 year old. More importantly the parts were not very sturdy. All the propellers broke in a couple of days, and the connections between the wires and the motors did not hold. The metal tabs then broke after a couple of attempts to reconnect them.

Pros
  • Builds a sense of accomplishment and pride in the finished product
Cons
  • The instructions may not accommodate for different levels of reading or language comprehension.

Could be a lot better

The directions with the photos are easy to follow and the projects do work, but the kit could use a lot of work. The screws are difficult for a kid to use, have to hold a tiny screw with the tweezers and turn hard with the tiny screw driver so it bites into the plastic. The battery compartments are held on with one screw and twist a lot. The wiring is not stripped enough to tie onto the motorks tiny holes and the wiring mounts look super easy to breakThe axels shift too easily even with the stops

Pros
  • Amazing set
Cons
  • The product may not be as visually appealing as other STEM sets.

Need adult supervision and a couple of tries

Instructions were TERRIBLE. Obviously you have to connect the wires from the battery to the motor but it doesn't say how. First try it ran backward. Spacing on parts is critical but pictures are Vague. I'm a 64 years old inventor. Handy man. Real-estate home flipper and I had a hard time with it. No 5 or 10 year old is going to do it alone. That being said the bubble machine works well. Once you get the polarity right on the motor.

Pros
  • It was a good deal for my grandson.
Cons
  • The instructions may not be available in all languages.

Quality kit for my opinion

This is a very high quality kit for the money. Some of the assembly is a little tedious (very small screws), but overall this is a very good buy.

Pros
  • Sparks an interest in mechanical engineering
Cons
  • The kit may not come with a warranty or return policy.

Difficult to assemble, not well thought out as a stem toy

Uses eyeglass screws so size made assembly for a kid very difficult. On the balance car project used a more powerful motor than needed, which actually makes vehicle not work and spin very fast in a circle! Husband rewired circuit with a resistor ( he tinkers in hardware) to fix the issue.

Pros
  • Complete all in one kit - Contains 5 set STEM projects for kids to build different kinds cars ,robot, mini generator, mini bubble machine. Novelty boy toys age 8-10 years old.
Cons
  • The kit may not come with enough stickers or decorations to customize the car.

Robotics for Fun! in my review

My students loved it! Used it during our Family STEAM Night! All of the activities in the box were good for are students AND parents. Parents were thrilled wjen they completed their projects, as well. Will buy this again!

Pros
  • Includes all necessary materials to build a working model car
Cons
  • The set may require additional tools not included in the kit.

Ridiculously designed & total waste of money!

I purchased this for my 10 year old grandson who found it to be useless as the parts were entirely too small with screws that required the tiny screwdrivers made for repairing sunglasses and glasses. Both of his parents found it frustrating and a complete waste of money and time ! Do not waste your money.

Pros
  • Toys & Games
Cons
  • The set may be too small or limited in scope.

Interesting for a wide range of ages

I bought this as a basket stuffer for my two grandsons ages 7 and 12. Both enjoyed them. I think toys like these promote STEM learning and encourage kids to try hands on learning.

Pros
  • We are homeschooling my grandson.he enjoys doing the projects once or twice a week.
Cons
  • The instructions may be difficult to follow without adult assistance.

Turned out to be a waste of money

Extremely difficult to assemble, not for kids. Once put together it did not look good at all and broke right away.Disappointed.

Pros
  • Grandson will love learning while building.
Cons
  • The project may require more time and supervision than expected.
