Enhance Braking Performance with StopTech 309.08910 Sport Brake Pads: Shims and Hardware Included Review

On my slightly modified Miata (in terms of performance) I prefer to ride on 195 tires with less grip on the track. These brake pads have very good feedback and instill great confidence when braking off-road. They are very easy to modulate and offer sufficient stopping power. They seem to wear off a little quicker (10 days of 4 x 25 minute sessions) than other pads I've tried, but for the price they're very reasonable.

Wanted to upgrade the pads on my 2004 Miata and they are perfect for my style of driving, touring and spirited driving. The only thing I would like to say about using these pads is that if they get wet, if the rotors are cold and sit for a while without riding, they will leave rust on the rotors they need to ride or they will mark the rotor and will need to be burned through again. I use these on my 2005 Mazda Miata which is used daily around town and occasionally on the track. I put them on almost immediately after buying the Miata so I don't know if it's the pads or the car, but the brake feel is phenomenal. It's absolutely linear, immediate, predictable and powerful. Everyone needs a pad that can perform well on both the street and track, and for me it hits the spot.
