I have used pliers for many years since the 1960's. Sometimes I even made my own. These pliers work just as well as anything I've made or bought. I use them for many different projects, leather, upholstery, cage repair, trap repair and more.

These pliers are probably great for uncoated circlips. Unfortunately I delivered a black coated chain. The bottom line - we basically used a pair of vise pliers or pliers to get the job done. If you're installing something other than a standard bare chain link, don't waste your money.

Bought this tool along with LEM Signature Rings to make Christmas Summer Sausage. Difficulties immediately arose when crimping the rings, since the metal in this tool was so soft that it immediately began to deform. I crimped about 14 rings before it failed. I have since returned this product and will be purchasing a different brand. I think you get what you pay for.

These rings (and attachment) are the only way to attach a sling to a shock cord. It's amazing how much force can be applied with this system. Unfortunately I only needed 4 rings; I don't know what to do with the other 96 rings. The item's descriptive picture shows the rings, suggesting they were included, although this is not stated in the description. Luckily I ordered them separately to avoid the delay with an additional order.

I received this and was very disappointed, the drills were not included. So I had to run to my local hardware store but they only have giant half inch rings in the fencing department so big I have to pre bend them to fit the pliers but they don't compress so my project is a total mess and I will have to go back to him if I can get decent rings. Great pliers set! A Chevelle 72 restored and all seat upholstery redone. Removed the seats from the frame, fitted new foam and so on. It uses 3/4" diameter zinc plated rings which fit perfectly on the jaws. The pliers crimp rings as you would expect a plier to do. The spring return easily holds the jaws open when installing a new ring. I used this with 3/8" hog rings and 1/4" punch line. When I try to crimp (make a loop) the rings with 2 pieces of bungee cord, they don't crimp properly about 80% of the time, so I have to change the position and crimp 2 or 3 more times. Takes a lot of time. Even though they are spring loaded, the rivet was too tight and you would have to fight the rivet's resistance to open it and then it wouldn't close.
