I think for the price it's a pretty good rectifier. I have very thick hair and it did the job and I love the heat resistant carry case. I will say the adapter doesn't stay connected very well, but if you're traveling abroad and need something that works, this is it.

I was given a used straightening iron, I recognized it by the scratches and the smell of hairspray. But I tried it anyway, and while it made my hair look pretty straight, it smelled like burnt plastic. Not only did the straightener smell, it was cheaply made. I can tell that not only from the smell, but also from the fact that the handles were slightly bent when used. We will definitely not come back.

I have enjoyed using this iron when traveling in Scotland, UK. You just need an adapter (no converter as it is dual voltage) and you're done. Is it as good as my very expensive CHI iron? No, but it helps, and finding a "reliable" converter is almost impossible. I have very thick curly hair and this straightener worked great. This is my favorite iron when traveling outside of the US.

I wasn't expecting much for the price. This iron surprised me. Very good offer! I bought it for a trip to Europe and have yet to see how it works there. I've already tried it at home and it works better than the one I use at home which was at least twice the price. Also love the bag it comes in, it's heat resistant and you don't have to wait for it to cool down when you're done.
