Worth the money good for me

This is the second one we have purchased. The first lasted several years and this one will also no doubt. As long as you take care of it then it will last. All of the complaints about it being bubble wrap…. No kidding, that’s what a solar blanket is. 100% recommend.

Pros
  • Did the job
Cons
  • Can be difficult to get on and off the pool

Worth every penny! in my review

I’ve been through a few solar covers trying to find one that would hold up to wind and be durable enough to be taken on and off the pool several times during the summer. This is the one! Look no further!

Pros
  • Good investment for homeowners who want to enjoy their pool even during cooler weather
Cons
  • Can be difficult to dispose of properly

This is working great for keeping the hot tub sized pool warmer this spring. The only problem is the splice joint ours has down the middle. This splice makes rolling up a bit more difficult without dumping leaves into the pool, but isn't really a show stopper. We haven't seen much water loss since we started using this, would recommend.4/5 for spliced design, great performance for the money though!

Pros
  • Can help to reduce water evaporation by up to 95 percent
Cons
  • Bubble-side facing down can make the water appear cloudy or hazy

Only about 6-7 Mil in my review

The product looks decent, but certainly not heavy duty. This measures about 6-7 Mil thickness at best. The cover appears to be effective, but only time will tell how well it lasts.

Pros
  • This is our 2nd solar cover. This is very thick and sturdy.
Cons
  • May not fit all round pools

Great solar cover! for my opinion

This is a fantastic cover! It will last 2-5 years at least. It warms the pool better than the blue ones. Bought a cheap blue one last year and it fell apart the first week of this season! Pay extra for better quality!

Pros
  • Improves safety by reducing water evaporation and preventing water loss
Cons
  • Can be prone to sagging, leading to uneven heating

Surprisingly Insulating!

I purchased this for an in ground spa cover for Florida winter. I have been pleasantly surprised on two counts. First is how well the unit stays in place. Ensure you purchase the correct diameter. Second is how well it insulates! My spa automatically runs just an hour per day, and much of the warmth is maintained despite some nights hitting into the 50's. It's a great value for the money.

Pros
  • Transparent design allows for easy monitoring of pool water clarity and cleanliness
Cons
  • Can be difficult to use with pool slides or diving boards

I’m glad I got the 1600 series

I do think these are a tad thicker than the 1200.Thicker means to me, less likely to rip and more heat.Of course you gotta be careful with any cover.Holds heat well.Hope this review was helpful:-)

Pros
  • Can help to prolong the life of pool equipment and components by reducing the amount of wear and tear caused by harsh weather conditions
Cons
  • Can be unsightly when not in use

This worked like a charm for me!

I was in the market for a new solar cover. I did a little research and read a crazy amount of reviews and decided on this particular one. I am very happy I did! The fact that it is 16mm, clear and completely covers the pool made a tremendous difference in the temperature of the water this year. Last year, I had a hand me down, blue, 8mm and nobody wanted to get in except the kids because every time you stepped in you were threatened with hypothermia! But, this year.WOW! What a BIG difference…

Pros
  • Can help to reduce overall energy usage by reducing the need for heaters and other pool equipment
Cons
  • May not be as effective for pools located in areas with shorter summers

Very heavy duty: my feedback

The thickness and durability of this cover is impressive. It is heavy and requires a little more heft to manage than lesser covers. My only issue is that one seam failed for about 3 feet from the first use but has not separated further for two years.

Pros
  • Simple design makes it easy to roll up and store when not in use
Cons
  • Can be difficult to replace if lost or damaged

Product not consistent

The first cover I ordered failed within two weeks in our hot tub. There is a seam down the middle and it was not properly constructed. The seam failed and I had two separate pieces that no longer worked the way the product is supposed to work. At that point in time I would have given a 1 star rating. Fortunately the vendor responded quickly and sent me another cover free of charge, and I did not have to send back the first one. The new cover is clearly heavier material and the seam is much…

Pros
  • The clear material allows for more natural light to pass through, illuminating the pool area
Cons
  • Can be expensive to replace if damaged or lost

Good product-not the size stated

This product is very sturdy but not 10’ as stated. Had to cut at least 2’ off to make it fit. I could have taken more time in my cut so it would have fit better but did not. It would have been better if it came as a 10’ pool solar cover not a 12’ cover. Other than that it seems to be helping with heat retention

Pros
  • Minimal maintenance required, with occasional cleaning recommended
Cons
  • May not provide the desired level of heat retention during colder months

Awesome! in my review

I live in Mid Michigan. So I needed something that will heat up my pool water. This thing is like a thousand magnifying glasses, my pool water is like bath water, well after the sun goes down. It's been like 3 months since I got it, so I don't remember what exact model I got. I'm assuming it's the 1600. It's the thickest one, I can tell ya that. I am real satisfied. Yep, I had to trim it. But I have one of those cheapy Coleman pools, like a Wally World pool. So they tend to measure a bit…

Pros
  • Can help to reduce water usage by minimizing the amount of refilling needed due to evaporation
Cons
  • Can be noisy in windy conditions

Worth the money. on my review.

This cover does the job! I have a 27' round saltwater pool and this cover is in great shape still after a season. In direct sunlight I've gained 2 to 3 degrees a day sometimes. Now I use it to hold the heat in since it's getting colder here. All in all for the money it does the job. One thing, it's heavy, so think about a reel of some sort to take it out of the pool.

Pros
  • Lightweight design makes it easy to handle and store when not in use
Cons
  • Can trap heat in the pool, making it uncomfortable to swim in hot weather
