First I tried, the ones I tried were transparent and had a color temperature of 5000k. The light was too blue and harsh, especially before bed. I really wanted these pears. In general I like LED bulbs - I want to use less energy and I like the long life of a traditional LED. They have been rated for 50,000 hours. I was concerned about the wavelength of the light, but I think the 4K lightbulbs looked really good in my bathroom fixtures. These 12 bulbs arrived yesterday and I installed them in our master bathroom (warm white 3000k) and still do. Excellent! All 12 bulbs work and work with our slide dimmer switch which we have already used with the 12 25W bulbs we have always used. We couldn't wait to get rid of these hot energy and money hogs!
