Holds 7/16 bits. Bought for 1/4 bit. This information should be included in the description. It's useless to me, but Revain returned the money. It looks like it has good solid construction.

This is indeed a 1/2" to 1/2" hex adapter and should be clearly advertised as such. The side of the hex is about 1/2" not 1/4" if that's what you're expecting. I was hoping to find an inexpensive 1/2" square to 1/4" hex.
