Not a bad mirror. suitable for cycling

Nice mirror. The quality of the mirror is not quite straight, but sufficient and adequate for the price. attachment? The same goes for all those bike mirrors: the bracket isn't heavy enough to handle the torque on the nut so you end up just bending it and the mirror won't stay 100% in place. I won't turn the knob, but the mirror still rotates in the mount holes from the vibration. Correction? I removed one of the nuts from my old mirror and placed it between the two ends of the clamp and…

Problematic clamp, but otherwise good.

As many have pointed out, jamming is a problem. I used a thin strip (cut with scissors) of 6" x 6" Danco 59849 rubber packing sheets between the handlebar and clamp and it works GREAT! The problem is that the clip flexes when tightened and the nut at the base of the arm doesn't fit the clip snugly, making it difficult to keep the mirror from rotating when you don't want it to. A small tube covering the threads of the screw and preventing the clamp from breaking can be the ideal solution. Hm. I…

Nice little mirror

Out of all the mirrors I've reviewed I chose this one based on all the comments I've read about others. It's a nice little mirror, but I had to move my hand to see if something was approaching from behind, which weighs me down a bit and causes me to drift right into the lane I'm trying to stay out of (!) . I think it's just a matter of getting used to it. I haven't had it that long so I'll have to play around with it and see if there's another spot on the steering wheel where I could move it…

Sunlite Deluxe Bike Mirror - OK

I bought five of these mirrors for several bikes and they are far from perfect but the best compromise I can find. The shape of the mirror is rectangular, better for the bike than round. The adjustment points can be tightened just enough to keep the mirror in adjustment - as long as you don't hit it. It has enough adjustment points so you can position it exactly for your own look. The rod is long enough for an adequate viewing angle. The longer 11.5 inch rod type is bulky and uncomfortable…

Works great Good for sports

I ordered this knowing the clamp would be too loose or too flexible (hence 4 stars) but I needed a mirror for my new bike. I solved the problem with a small shelf insert (some kind of waffle weave, I don't know what it's called). I bought a roll from a dollar store and cut off a small piece to fit under the clamp. is working. excellent, gave just enough support and thickness to allow adequate tightening of the clamp bolts, and prevents metal-to-metal contact abrasion of the handlebars. I tried…

Perfect with modification

this is the mirror i wanted. This is not a motorcycle mirror, but my strips are 1.25 inches, which is closer to a motorcycle mirror. I threw away the mounting tape or zip tie and took a piece of rebar tape and drilled two right sized holes in it. Then I painted it black. It now fits my lovely Prodeco bike with 31.8mm (1.25") handlebars. All I needed was a vise, common sense and a mirror thread sized bit plus a couple of 1/16's. Most people would have sent it back but luckily the bike racer in…

Good cheap mirror, but brittle and prone to rusting

The mirror housing is secured to the plastic stem knee with a sheet metal truss head screw that is about 1/4 inch shorter. bike falling off footpegs) will rip off 1/4 inch of the plastic that is attached to this bolt. A 1/4" longer screw doubles the shock resistance. -----------adequate field of view metric fittings (almost everything else on modern bikes is metric) appropriate handlebars angled sloping stem adequate length ball joint on the back of the mirror By rotating the clamp on the…
