He wants to be like everyone else, I was disappointed

My brother has special needs and limited motor skills, he weighs 140, he is 25 years old. I was so excited to find them and read some good reviews and not so good reviews. I didn't want to buy my brother a big tricycle, he's still young and loves the bikes that young people have. On Christmas day he drove around the block smiling from ear to ear, the next day I watched him ride and saw one of the rods to the wheel bend right before my eyes and here he goes, bends over and loses that Balance :(โ€ฆ

Suitable for big kids and adults.

Well designed training wheels will stand up to most adults and are relatively easy to assemble. Remember that screws have a specific purpose and are easy to confuse. The instructions appeared to have been written by someone with poor English skills and are therefore vague at best. The wheels wear out because they are made of a hard material that can only last a few hundred kilometers. The training wheels give the bike a bit of wobble so the rider can learn how to stabilize the bike. Because the

Buy it, you won't regret it

Awesome! As city dwellers, we waited too long to teach our son to ride a bike as it was too dangerous to ride near our home. Now he's 11 and we thought it would be easier now that our son is grown up. Not correct! My son got a new bike from his grandma last Christmas and without training wheels it seemed impossible to teach him. First, after his dad, we had cheap training wheels and I couldn't tutor him without sneakers, but the cheap ones flexed like metal toffee. Then I bought it and for theโ€ฆ

Your installation was very simple and straightforward

The training wheels were delivered yesterday. Installation was very easy and straightforward. However, it took my 5 year old daughter two minutes of slow driving for them to fall apart. A wheel came off about three houses down our block. After we sent it back another nut came loose from the back end of the bolt. We secured the two and set off when we noticed that the tire tread was already coming off one of the tires. So our daughter hadn't even walked our city block when the $80 wheels lookedโ€ฆ

The best adult wheelchair balance bikes we've tried!

My disabled daughter can finally ride a bike! We've previously tried two or three other products that still allowed us to keep the bike's profile fairly slim (important for garage storage during our Chicago winters!). This one works. It's heavy and durable. Tires are built to be on the road all the time. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because we weren't given instructions. Since we've tried so many products (and actually removed a set of balance wheels to put them on), we'veโ€ฆ

Perfect for all ages and super strong!

Excellent product. After I had to buy my tall 8-year-old a 20-inch bike to learn to ride, I found that the universal training wheels at Wal-Mart didn't work with gears. We then got another bike with no gears and they worked but bent on the first ride. When they come back, I'll finance them. We were able to return the bike with the gears and it works great and is very durable. They're tight to the ground on either side, essentially keeping you upright, not just on balance. I even rode with them.

  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Without machine
