Money well spent! for machine tools

Whoever made this was an absolute genius to us K-Series folks. Releasing the tension from the tensioner to remove and replace the belt is the easiest task with this tool. I am absolutely satisfied and it has been used more than once and I have only had it for a week. 5 stars absolutely

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Modern

Suitable for conversions

Would work fine if thinner. On a 2004 Honda CR-V it was damn hard, I couldn't get it on the idler pulley bolt between the bottom line of the power steering without taking the tool to a grinder and basically just sanding it down to the bushing in my opinion after also 12 points round bolts.

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

The Best Honda Band Tool Ever Made

It's the simplest thing imaginable. However, it is also the best tool for changing belts on a Honda. The bushings are thin enough to be cleaned even after the motor mounts have been sold. The bend makes it easy to remove the strap. It's long enough so there's a lot of leverage. I really thought it was a joke but it turned out to be one of the best tools out there.

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • Useless Features

Exactly the right tool.

I always try to avoid special tools. I bought this and a useless and less expensive "Universal" that didn't even come with the correct head size for the Honda. This thing is perfect. I figured out on youtube how to loosen a serpentine belt using a ring spanner and lever ratchet and it worked fine. But it is better. I used it, that's why I pay for it. :) But if you work with Hondas regularly, it saves a lot of time and nerves.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Sad device

Worked on Mazda5 2.5L (2012).

This tool is quite basic but it was enough to get the job done. The Mazda 2.5L seat belt pretensioner is located in the lower rear part of the engine compartment and is difficult to access. A standard box wrench is too short for the average person to apply the torque required. A wrench extension can be used from underneath, but there isn't much clearance on the tensioner before your wrench hits the suspension control arm. This tool is not properly curved for use from below. However, it is bentโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Unique and Essential Tool

This tool is required to loosen the serpentine belt tensioner on my 2007 Honda CR-V to allow the belt to be removed from the pulleys for replacement or other related work. It has a 14mm offset jack on one end and a 19mm jack on the other. The 14mm socket fits the tensioner pulley bolt (factory recommended torque is 41 lbf ft) and the 19mm socket can be used to remove or install the power steering pump pulley (it can be secured with a short box end wrench ; recommended torque for your nut is 47โ€ฆ

Fits 2014 Mazda 2

I got this for my 2014 Mazda 2 and it did the job perfectly. I gave one star mainly because of dirty welds. It's basically just a piece of rod, bent at both ends, with flat bushings welded on. The 14mm end dangles a bit, but not enough for any slipping or rounding. I don't need the other end, so I can't comment on that. If the nut on your tensioner is already damaged/rounded, you may need something that fits better. At the 14mm end, part of the thickness of the shaft has been ground off toโ€ฆ
