Passes in low gears. The crankshaft is stuck. Good for a tapered square bottom bracket. This is good for city bikes, but not for aggressive riding.

Stamped steel. Mine bent when I downshifted late. Other connecting rods, i.e. aluminum, are more expensive, but also strong enough to withstand such a failure.

For a long unassisted bike adventure ahead, I've reverted to simpler, cheaper, and generally more durable parts. It's better to have critical parts that can be found almost anywhere than special orders that are likely nowhere to be found right now.

I'm the type who prefers the tried and tested square cone. I switched to 170mm cranks but went back to 175mm cranks which are hard to come by. So I have it. They are durable, do the job, and are inexpensive to replace. Unscrew the chainrings and slide on your favorite narrow wide chainring and you're good to go.
