Great for towing

I installed these on my 2015 F150 and they are great for stiffening the rear while towing our 31ft trailer. Even when I had our weight distribution hitch, the back of my truck squatted about 1.5 to 2 inches. After I install the Sumo Springs, it squats a maximum of 0.5 inches. The only thing I complain about is that when my truck is unloaded the ride gets a bit stiff like a 3/4 ton truck. It's not terrible, but the half-ton ride is much smoother. They are easy to detach and reattach before I tow

Pros
  • Maintenance Free
Cons
  • Volume

Spring is heavier than expected.

Very easy to install with basic tools. 13mm deep socket with extension, 15mm socket and wrench. I used an old school air wrench to remove the bumper and install the Sumo spring metal frame. My new F150 FX4 had room above the axle to mount the block without using bushings. The installation took only 10 minutes. Gave my truck a harder ride right from the start. I then installed some RS9000 Rancho shocks and it helped smooth out the bumps and rebound. Stuck an empty one in my 16ft trailer…

Pros
  • Sold as a pair (left and right)
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Worked way better than expected!

Installation: SumoSprings are very easy to install. Total install time was approximately 1 hour on a 2013 F150. The location and difficulty in removing the factory screws was the only issue that increased installation time. It is recommended to remove the rear wheels before installation. Performance: SumoSprings have definitely increased the truck's towing freedom. I installed them to counteract the weight of the trailer I'm towing (about 800 pounds). With no springs, there was a lot of squats…

Pros
  • Increases capacity
Cons
  • Empty
