Great offer! The very best in dampers, struts and suspension

One day I opened the hood and the hood wouldn't stay open. I went into Revain, found this rack, and after watching a video on how to remove the old one and put the new one on, it works like a new machine.

Pros
  • YHTAUTO Great Value Prime Lift Direct Mount Strut
Cons
  • Hard to say

I wish I could replace this before I drop the hood on my hand

It was so easy to install. Simply slide the clip forward to "unlock" the ball joint, then slide down to lock. It's easier if you start at the top and then work down. I wish I had bought this 6 months ago when the hood fell on my hand. Shame on Chevy for redesigning the hood at all. What's up with the metal rod? This has worked in car design for decades, but now we can't take care of it and after a while we have to replace a strut? If your failed hood opener is stiff, buy one and replace it now.

Pros
  • Location: Hood Hood, Front; Straight ball head
Cons
  • mad

Didn't quite fit, but worked.

Replaced a broken rack in my wife's Aura '08. The photo shows the angle head on the cylindrical end of the post. The shaft brace has an angled head at the end of the shaft (approx. 80-85 degrees instead of 90 degrees). Well I figured you could just swap the ends (they bolt on) or install a gas bottle from the side of the hood. The actual block I received has a 90 degree head on BOTH ends. I attempted to install anyway as there is a large angular tolerance on these ends of the balls. I couldn't…

Pros
  • Part #: 25865060, 8196347, SG330094, 6166, 217254
Cons
  • Socket required
