Lifesaver for Finishing Projects

When I discovered these finishing needles a few years ago, my creative life changed for the better. Like many needle artists, I would be afraid to finish the project and handle the braid ends without feeling incredibly frustrated. No fear anymore! This small bag contains a set of strong, curved plastic needles, each the best size for a specific yarn weight. They run smoothly and their arcuate shape allows them to compress when needed. I'm no longer afraid to finish my projects!

Pros
  • A Dream Come True
Cons
  • There Are Downsides

I've been missing them in the store for years because they don't look good. I bought a pack of LYS a year ago and quickly lost everything but the red one. But for a conversion it was enough for me. They are incredibly easy to "tuck in" due to the long slit down the center and the ends are pointed enough to make braiding your ends that much easier. The downside, besides the obvious fact that your yarn will fail quite often, is that it breaks easily. However, the lack of irritation compared toโ€ฆ

It took twice as long to get here than the rest of my order.

They are what they are. I have no reason to believe they are not working properly. no power no moving parts lol but i was very disappointed in how long it took to get here. If I hadn't ordered enough other items to get free shipping, shipping would have cost more than the item itself, which would have pissed me off considering it could be mailed in a premium envelope for a lot less! But it's here and I'm almost ready to try it on my latest project. so we'll see. UPDATE: I was able to use themโ€ฆ

Excellent needle set for braiding yarn ends

I crochet and knit a lot and am always looking for handy tools. One of the things I'm scared of is tangled ends (especially when I have to string a lot of motifs together). This is my least favorite part of the project. It's even worse when I'm working with delicate yarns and threads that don't easily fit into the eye of my metal weaving needles. I bought this needle set hoping it would make the process easier - and it is. I really like that I can just thread the yarn into the eye, which isโ€ฆ

  • Freehand

  • Very expensive

Great alternative to standard yarn needles

I've seen a bit of confusion on crochet boards about this so explain quickly: they're regular plastic yarn needles but the eyelet (the part through which threading the yarn) runs the entire length of the needle. They are used like any other plastic needle. The length of the eyelet helps with threading (especially if you're trembling or have poor eyesight) and also helps you braid short ends (your ends don't need to be particularly long to weave easily). These needles are the most important part

My favorite recommendation for weaving with yarn ends

I really like these finishing needles. They are SO easy to use! I weave the empty needle back into the end of the thread, just and easily slip the thread into the large and flexible eye of the needle, and pull firmly on the other side of the needle to make sure I have at least a little bit of slack between the project and the Needle forward to allow the yarn to pull further. I understand that since this is a plastic injection molding project, sometimes plastic parts can be left over from theโ€ฆ

  • Trial for a year

  • Available in white only
