Salmon Bamboo Handle Silvalume Head Crochet Hook - Susan Bates, 5.5-inch length, 10mm size Review

I really like these hooks - I've ordered two other sizes and have a whole set of smaller sizes. Bamboo handles make my hands lighter and I seem to get less tired using them. For me, Susan Bates hooks are my go-to choice for my crochet projects. Although I also have a set of Boye hooks, I still seem to be drawn to Bates hooks first.

I love the Susan Bates hooks and they are my favorite. This was the first one I bought with a bamboo hook and I really don't need a pen. With other Susan Bates crochet hooks I use gel pens which makes crocheting very easy. The bamboo handle unfortunately not. It is very heavy and my shoulder hurts after crocheting unlike the gel pen. Unfortunately, while I love Susan Bates hooks and will continue to use them, I will no longer be buying hooks with bamboo handles.

I am an avid, experienced knitter. I'm used to using regular cheap aluminum hooks you can find in stores. My hands get tired and I get cramps when I crochet. I bought several of these in different sizes - the bamboo handles are amazing! They take the heat off my hand and reflect it back so my hands don't hurt.
