Stable and perfectly matched to our sliding door. I used to have a wooden handle and didn't like it because it was too bulky and made it difficult to lock/unlock the door, which is not the case with this handle.

I have been searching for this item for the last 8 years. I've looked through a lot of the furnishings sold locally - this one is all metal so I can see it's strong and durable.

There was only one bolt size in the package which was too long. I had to replace it with a shorter one. The handle is black so do you think the screws need to be black to blend in with the handle? No, the screws are silver to give them an unfinished look. Just for info

The outside handle on our 4 foot sliding door is one of those hard to grip plastic pieces that doesn't give you much leverage when trying to open the door from the outside, especially for my petite wife. Need a handle that fits between the door and the sliding door and that fits the bill. I drilled a few holes just above the existing handle and installed it on the outside. Works great.
