A must have for Tacos

Great addition to your Toyota Tacoma bed. Much better than the huge chunky boots that are out there. Paired with D-ties and 3/8-16 1" socket head screws. Ordered all through Amazon. Can order more!

Buyers best beware of T-Nuts

Well if you use them in a bed rail you will soon notice rust and then you will probably spend hours examining the metal to check learning that 1018 steel with a black oxide coating (which scrapes off the first time it is screwed in) is not what you need for automotive applications, and you save yourself the tedium of being a half-day metallurgist by simply buying stainless steel screws from the start. Rust aside, they are solid and fit well on the trail.

  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

These awesome little T-Nuts can be used to attach just about anything.

I used these to attach Rocky Mount's HotRod bike racks to my Toyota Tacoma's bed rails. They are amazing and I wish I had discovered them many years ago. These great little T-Nuts allow you to attach just about anything you can think of to your bed rails without having to find the right size washers and try to keep the nut still by threading a bolt into a chunky assembly. High quality and worth its weight in gold!

Pros
  • Easy to use

and it seems like they should

I bought them for the 2015 tundra railway system. Others have reported that they work and appear to be, with some limitations. First, they aren't high enough to fully hook behind the handrail. If you overtighten them, the top edge will start to come out. Second, you need to be sure you don't attach it to the notches cut into the rail system or it will definitely slip through and not attach properly. I would be happier with a big shouldered t-slot nut as it would fully engage the rail with no…

The threads are very rough, best in T-Nuts

Screws did not thread very smoothly into these nuts. For one thing, it was insignificant; a little difficult to fully deploy two of them. I had to use tools to slide the bolt through the last two. I had to take them to my workbench, put them in a vise, put some WD40 on the threads and use a ratchet and screw to clean the threads. This bolt still works, but it definitely failed. I'm giving it 3 stars because now that the threads are clean and the screws go in and out smoothly, they work as I…
