Like at least one other reviewer, my mother misread the title text and figured that $10 gets you five covers. Part of the problem lies in the way the text is written. You only get one. It's heavy so the quality of the metal is good. We don't want anything that heavy and don't like the price per piece so we're sending it back.

The 2 screws provided were too short to hold the item in place. We had to use fan screws from a fan that we removed. The holes weren't aligned so it doesn't sit directly against the ceiling. In addition, the element did not completely cover the previous area. The old paint was still visible after application, it didn't cover everything.

We've transitioned our alarms to a wireless central connection type that reports to a central alarm console and kept the ones that came with the home. This plug plugs the hole in the ceiling where the old alarm used to be. The only complaint I have is that the screws that came with the unit had slots that were so small that they were difficult to tighten once the plate was in place. A larger slotted screw or Phillips would be an improvement.

I purchased this product to use as jump hole covers in the chinchilla cages I am building. It fits perfectly with the tires I bought as a jump hole. I like that the product is made of stainless steel so I don't have to replace them. Value for money is excellent, I'm glad I chose them. This is exactly what I was looking for to plug a hole in the kitchen ceiling. The hole was from an old chandelier and ruined an otherwise beautiful kitchen. This thing was easy to install and matches my flat white color perfectly. One issue I have is that I would like the mounting screws that come with the kit to be 1.5" instead of 1" - one screw is barely enough because the mounting plate is countersunk further back on one side. They weren't big enough to cover the holes in my quilt. They cover a standard 4" octagonal box, but not the opening that the box sits in. I have two standard 4 inch octagonal ceiling boxes that I need to close. I replaced the old glass ceiling lights with some recessed mini 3.5" LEDs. The light has gotten a lot better.
