5 star product for Nutcracker

Product is better than advertised. As a child, I often had to use my hands or a hammer. This is a game changer. Especially if you love nuts.

What's with that awful chemical smell?

Can't rate it fairly because it smells like chemicals. I don't know if it's the plastic it's wrapped in, or a box, or a nutcracker. I kept him away the whole time. I just pulled it out to see if I could air it out or wash it? I don't know if it's safe.

Bought 3 nutcrackers. The first one I used cracked about 75 pecans. One of the broken rivets had come loose. The rivets turned out to be 2-part, rivets connected to each other. I reinstalled the rivets and that was enough for another 40-50 nuts. I lost part of the rivet and fixed it with a small screw. This nutcracker seems to be working fine at the moment. Decided to try a second cracker. This one was worse than the first. This wrench broke one rivet and the second rivet broke and the rivet…
