The instructions are not clear but the product works.

Step 7: Attach another patch to the back of the patched tear (so that both sides of the material are patched). cannot be remedied with this product. To fix a tear in our inflatable boat, we need to cut it open to put a second patch on the back. Obviously this will lead to another big crack. Included. Using it on just one side worked.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Super easy and works great!

Very simple product and seems to work great! I have a vinyl bag that ripped while handling luggage on the plane so I applied this product. It's stretchy and seems to stick quite well. In the box there are several patches of different sizes: 1 3" x 12", 1 1.5" x 1.5", 1 1" x 1". There are also two alcohol swabs. for cleaning the surface and reinforcing thread (a transparent plastic thread that looks like thread) for repairing tears that run through the outer edge. Try it!

Lots to fix a hole in an air mattress

I bought a fairly expensive air mattress, used it twice, on the third use you can hear the air escaping when it is being filled. and found a hole the size of an eraser. When I tried using Scotch Gorilla it lasted one night but started showing up around the edges. I read that vinyl requires a special tape and found this. Works perfectly. I removed the tape, cleaned the area, attached two patches, a small square covering the hole and then attached part of the larger one over it. Ideal! I used it…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Slightly torn

THE PATCH WILL NOT HOLD

This product was very easy to use. Simply wipe the damaged area with the alcohol swab provided, cut the patch to size and apply gently (see instructions for more details on how to get the best result). After 1 week the product seems to be holding up well and the crack on my car seat has stopped spreading. They definitely don't offer a new look, but they seem to work well and the result is better than I expected. The crack still holds underneath, but it's going to be a much less reliable…

  • ANY MORE Absolutely amazing!

Spent on an unbeatable vinyl dish for me

This work is too big for me! I used it on part of a two man tugboat for our boat. We had a small tear about 1/4 inch long, but it was so close to the seam that I was only able to patch about 3/8 inch between the seam and the tear. I have decent experience patching things and I didn't think vinyl adhesive patches would hold. They really must be oversized and it depends on them whether they hold up in any case. Anyway, I followed the instructions, cleaned it very well, put it on very gently and…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Looks like I have duct tape on my desk

I purchased this product to cover 2 small but growing cracks on my vinyl covered chiropractic table. I applied this product as directed on the day I was not using the table. I used an alcohol cleaner to clean the areas. I cut and pasted the tape. I wouldn't call it clear, it was very noticeable when applied. It looked like I had duct tape on my desk. It didn't take long for this tape to start peeling around the edges and the small tears it covered slowly grew and spread OUTSIDE the tape. What…

Works but expensive for what you get

This is the second time I have bought a Tear-Aid product and I will definitely buy again should the need arise. The only thing I don't like is the price. I really think you should get more for what you pay. The buyer is wary of how much this will cover. You need to be sure of the length of the gap before purchasing as there aren't many things in this box. If you only have a small tear or a few small holes, this will probably live up to your expectations. I had a hard time coming to terms with…

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Minor repairability

So my son was able to tuck a large (think an inch and a half high and an inch wide) T-gap into a brand new sleeping pad for the Thermarest base camp (I mean it's a cool dude, it's only about $80 and you used it once). This is the right kind of vinyl pad. I was a bit concerned that the thermal rest isn't quite flat and the gap is really big. I did nothing to close the gap before applying this. That's the good thing. It comes in quite a long sheet and according to the instructions I had to patch…
