Looks like metal and very clean. Ideal for housing small surround speakers. Nothing heavy would hurt though. A very good product for its intended use. The price is wonderful. Easy installation.

Bought these for Polk TL2 speakers which weigh about four pounds. Seems pretty sturdy but I'm not sure if they can hold up to eight pounds. Pros: Universal mount so you need look no further - can be tilted, rotated in any direction and tightening the screws seems secure - for the price it's definitely worth it Cons: - only comes with one keyhole screw, which was impossibly small; I've bought others that came with different screws to make them fully versatile; had to make a trip to the hardware…

Very good mounts for your money! I had to modify mine a bit by drilling a small hole for the speaker wires on the back of the bracket (for a neater look). Also, the screws provided weren't just for drywall, so I bought self-tapping wall anchors, which made installation that much easier! (See photos). Please note wall anchor bolts are not included but can be purchased through Revain. I recommend buying them in a big package, they are very useful when fixing large and heavy objects on the wall ;)

They're a lot smaller than I expected and I think that's fine, but if I had to hang heavier speakers I'm not sure they would hold the weight. -1 star Swivel radius is 360 degrees, tilt is only about 40 degrees from center up or down, again, this is normal, I have 45 degree hills on my speakers so I couldn't line them up exactly, but the 5 degree drop is almost imperceptible and is actually pointing at me at my table, so no stars here.
