Full control of external accessories

Towing a small camper trailer with a Toyota Tacoma. I set it up to provide most of the stopping power instead of using the pickup's brakes. It can get tangled and over-sensitive under hard braking and cornering, but quickly corrects itself after some straight travel. Overall much better than the old controllers I used 20 years ago and provide a much-needed sense of security when towing.

Installed on a Land Cruiser.

Very good brake controller. Ease of installation. Reasonable price. I used to have several of these on different machines. Installed on a 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser. The hardest part is getting to the Land Cruiser factory plug. It's not in the same spot as other Toyota SUVs or trucks. Located on the driver's side behind the mirror controls. The principles aren't entirely clear in the manual, but the whole concept of trailer braking is actually quite a complicated thing. There are "boost" levels for braking which don't seem well explained as to what they do. Maybe their website could help. For example I used the first stage of boost for a load that the manual says is suitable. But when

Everything ok, but the wiring harness is too short.

I don't know enough about brake controls to say if they are any better than others. In general, the installation was easy, it took about 1.5 hours. I removed the ashtray and installed the Prodigy in that spot. But the included wiring harness is too short. It should be long enough that you can mount it anywhere on your dash, but it's not. I solved this problem by cutting the Prodigy connector off the Tundra harness and using butt joints to add a general purpose harness to its end. This works…
