GOOD FOR MY NEEDS for testers

Seems like an escapement meter for the price! I got it because I have a lot of cars with starting capacitors and this was one of the less expensive models that actually shows if the capacitor is running at the correct rating!

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • I won't say anything

With money.: Tester

I used to only test a few 110 spark plugs before replacing them, but the gauge seems solid. It has a pretty cool feature that helps you find wires in the wall. Since my usage is limited it's hard for me to give 5 stars but it does exactly what I want it to do so it's hard not to give 5 stars.

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • Update availability

Best Multimeter at This Price

I teach a make class and after comparing 12 multimeters in this price range ($20-$30) I chose this one because it has the most features, it comes with a battery (some of the gauges don't include a battery), and the measurements (especially the frequency measurement) are fairly accurate. It certainly can't compete with the Fluke gauge I have, but for a make class on a budget this really is the best you can find on the market.

Good functionality for the price

Shortly after placing the order I received an email warning me of a possible problem with the battery terminals. Instructions have been given to overcome this problem. When I installed the battery I understood what they were talking about and I had to bend the contacts a bit to ensure good contact. It only took 10 seconds but still minus one star. For the price, the meter has a great feature set and premium feel. At the moment, the meter was accurate and responsive.

Great counter for the price.

Great device for the price. This is within a tolerance of 5%. The only complaint I could have is that the leads aren't the best. But a decent setting on the gauge makes all the difference. If you're looking for a meter that isn't afraid of scatter, lets your child learn, or is new to testing, this is it. The automatic detection function works perfectly. I checked capacitors and diodes with it. The NCV feature works as advertised. I highly recommend this gauge.

Lots of extras at a great price.

This counter works great and has many additional features not typically found in a $40 counter. The appearance of the counter is solid and well finished. NCV capability, higher Cat III and IV ratings, 20A instead of the typical 10A, well-made jumper leads can also be attached to the back of the case for easy testing, auto-ranging (and more) are all pluses. When I first installed the battery I noticed that the meter would not turn on and found that the contacts were not making good contact. I…

Multifunction multimeter at a great price! Reference voltage update!

I received the TP8268 yesterday. So far, so good. This meter has a lot of features for a great price and seems to be a solid device. I thought it was a backlight issue as I thought that pressing the backlight button toggled the backlight on and off, but that's not the case. Also, the backlight didn't turn off until I turned off the meter. I emailed Electronix and received an immediate response. The button turns on the backlight, but shouldn't turn it off. It should turn off after a short time…
