Lots of play in the pines.

I buy a lot of Tekton because the quality is usually very good. Not so with this one. Check out my video. The jaw is weaker than the 6" I bought 30 years ago. You can see the worm gear moves a lot. There is also a superficial black pit on the side.

Good quality suitable for power tools and hand tools

Very good quality. Looks good (nice finishes, fittings fit well, button works smoothly). Feels good (heavy weight, feels solid). Works well. This is the 15 inch version. At the same time, I also bought a Crescent brand 12-inch wrench. Tekton looks and feels better. I bought the 12" because of the name and the 15" because of the price, expecting the 15" to not be used as often as the 12". I guess I should have bought two Tektons instead, I keep going back to the 15" Tekton even when 12" is big…

Inexpensive but NOT "cheap "

For the past few years I have trusted Tekton with quality tools at low prices. I don't always want to spend a lot of money on a tool that I can only use a few times, but I really hate spending money on a tool that is so poorly made that it doesn't work properly! Tekton has become my favorite brand on these occasions. This wrench is a great example. The spiral adjustment mechanism spins easily but does not play or play. The instrument is beautifully finished with precise inch and metric hole…

Good but not the best quality. Sloppy and fuzzy tolerances

This is not a very good crescent wrench. The fit and finish is such that the bottom lip will wobble and will never be able to fine tune the position. Apparently it's made to lax tolerances. When I compare it to my more expensive adjustable wrenches, the difference is clear. More expensive wrenches have a firm and smooth movement of the adjustable parts, resulting in a firm and consistent jaw opening. Unfortunately, this key works differently. This does not mean that it is a useless tool. I…

Disappointing quality for hand tools

I have the 4.5" version of Channellock in the Maxpedition Pouch Mini Tool Set and the quality of it is excellent. I have other Tekton tools that are well made and work perfectly. When I was putting together another mini tool case to give as a gift, I chose Tekton this time and introduced Tekton to my brother-in-law. Bad idea with this Chinese, not with Taiwan. manufactured product. The finish is rough, slippage in the jaw is terrible, and the work sticks and sticks easily and often. It…

Not even worth the broken price

I bought this key after reading other reviews. I told myself how bad it really could be. Thats so bad. As you can see from my photos, the jaws do not close parallel at first. But I believe there is enough play in the adjustment to tighten the clasp at the right angle if you try. But wait, there's a 1/16 inch misalignment in the adjustment. As you can see I marked the screw and body so you can see I didn't move the screw and still the jaws can move 1/16 of an inch. area in inches. This tool was…
