No wonder it bends under a lot of pressure

Great for light to medium duty applications. Better than many other tools for delicate parts like hydraulic pistons. It bends under strong pressure.

Pros
  • Vices and Locking Pliers
Cons
  • Good, but not the best

Looks great

Bought for upcoming timing belt change. I haven't really put it through its paces but from the looks of it it looks high quality with a great overall finish. Much better than what you usually see on HF for example.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Negative impression

Excellent cam holding tool

I received this chain clip during a full timing belt service on my 1999 Honda Accord LX coupe (2.3L VTEC YO!) which involved replacing the cam and seal crank. This tool worked great for this application. It was a great inexpensive option and I have no complaints. I'm also glad I chose this tool because I REALLY needed to replace that cam seal!

Pros
  • Power and hand tool
Cons
  • So far so good

Not worth the price

I bought a Tekton pliers and a MacWork pliers at the same time. I did a comparison on arrival and they are physically identical, only Tektons were $15.52 and MacWorks were $8.99. With the price difference, I thought the Tektons were heavier than them. Don't get me wrong, they work for what I use them for, but if you just want cheap chain pliers, use MacWorks.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive

Chain Holder: Crescent vs. Tekton

I'm about to change the timing belt on a 2009 Honda Odyssey so I bought 2 chain holders. I compared them very roughly. In my opinion the Crescent is better than the Tekton for blocking power. Because the Crescent stop bolt is a bit thicker, longer and larger. I can use a torx hex bit on a crescent stop screw. crescent. compared to Tekton China. Taiwan 30 teeth. 29 teeth $17.00 $29.23 PS I will update after custom.

Pros
  • So far happy
Cons
  • I'll write later

Great tool. Well made and lifesaver. I had to remove the oil filter which broke after trying many other things. I was able to wrap the chain around them and get a good grip. This tool is very handy for providing a secure grip in places where there is little or no room for a traditional wrench, pipe wrench or similar. It had to be used once, but I liked it so much that it's now in my toolbox constantly. Improvement: I wish the handles had non-slip rubber like quality lock keys. This would make a
