DO NOT USE DO NOT USE SOLVENTS IN THE NEW VERSION

Note I have both the old and new versions. According to the product description, the bed should be cleaned with isopropyl or acetone. It is normal with coatings on old glass plates. The old version has a white screenprinted icon in the front right corner. There is nothing in the new version. Plain black finish with no shine. ABSOLUTELY FREE OF SOLVENTS. I tried 99% iso and it got sticky. After drying, it quickly returns to its normal state, but this is no longer the same coating. After wiping…

A simple fix. in 3D printer platforms

I am very satisfied with this borosilicate bed. I found it easier to maintain trajectory/level as well as get consistent hold and release. I use PLA at 55c. I don't know why it's better than regular tempered glass, but it's probably due to the increased surface area and dimensional stability. I use hairspray, the release is very easy. Just let it cool down a bit. If I were producing longer runs on small prints, I would invest in a second bed to combine prep and release. It would be great if…

This eliminates adhesion problems.

My Tenlog was my second (but almost equal to my first) 3D printer and it was a learning experience. I like the mirror mode, but the constant sticking issues with the base glass platform made me tired. it takes tons of hairspray. I chose borosilicate because it was recommended in the 3D printing courses I started with. The layers of glass help smooth out uneven build plates, and the thermal expansion properties of borosilicate are very good at preventing the plastic from warping. It heats up…
